If the project is not messy, students may display their science fair project in the library for a few days following the science fair. Nibley city youth council may moderate the projects, if that is not a possibility, we may need volunteers from parents to help with that.

7. Kickback Night - Jenni Theophilou and Kaylee Grange

Our next kickback night will be February 24, 2026 at Chic fil A. Look for more details as far as hours the kickback will be running! Come support our school and get a delicious meal!

8. Steam Night - Kim Kikkert

March 12, 2026- 6:00-7:30pm. We will need help setting up tables and manning stations. (Mr. Heinsohn will coordinate with older grades so students can help set up as well.)

9. Maturation Program - Kim Kikkert

March 10, 2026. Parents come if possible during your student’s fifth grade maturation program.

Betsy Stromberg will get donuts for the event.

10. Beat the Teach - Emily Larsen

Mrs. Singleton will introduce the event during library the last week of February. Approximately fifteen teachers will be participating in the event. Each teacher will be assigned to a gift card to work towards. The PTA is providing the gift card prizes. A set number of students can compete for the gift card against the teacher. The teachers will update their reading minutes twice a week. This will be on display in the library during the month of March.

11. Walk a thon

April 14th or 15th if bad weather.

We will only be doing the walk a thon one day this year.

We are moving away from individual prizes. We will work on school wide goals.

Incentives –

1. Focusing more on schoolwide tiered prizes instead of individual
   1. $1,000 -  coupons (most likely to Pizza Pie cafe and Great Harvest)
   2. $4,000 - Gaga Ball during recess
   3. $7,000 - Principal Robins and Matt Mallory will doing (be thinking of some ideas that we can discuss at the next meeting)
   4. $10,000 - Candy cannon during lunch recess
2. Individual incentives - If kids bring in these amounts they will get the following prizes
   1. $25 - Coupons from businesses, Heritage pin (we have these in the closet), possibly something else depending on what donations we get
   2. $200 - Movie pack
3. Class incentives
   1. Ice party - For the two classes that bring in the most donations. Jill Johnson has ice cream from last year we can use.
4. Top Lap winners boy and girl
   1. Per grade - Medal (plenty in PTA closet), sports drink
   2. For whole school - Del Sol Towel, water bottle, tote bag and keychain (Kim’s husband’s work will donate these prizes)
   3. Donut party - For the class that runs the most laps (we will have two classes broken up by P-2nd grade and 3rd-6th grade). Donuts will come from Johnny O’s

*We are not doing a raffle this year.

2. Potential Sponsors
   1. We need everyone willing to sign up to contact 3-4 of the businesses listed or any other business you are willing to reach out to. We are looking for more monetary donations from sponsors than items this year so that we can use the money to buy the prizes we would like. Your local dentist, orthodontist, or doctor are willing to donate if they know you are a patient of theirs. Ask at your next appointment if they would be willing to donate. If you have a friend who owns a business, as them to donate. Businesses get to write off their donations so they are usually willing to donate.

Jami Stokes- we need one more position on the Heritage PTA board for 2026-27 school year. Please reach out to Jami Stokes, or any board member if you will like to help!
